About Me
Born and raised in WV, Joan got into sewing because she was wearing her cousin's hand-me-downs. After the schoolkids kept picking on her, Joan started sewing at 7. She got better through the home ec class at Dunbar Jr. High taught by Ruth Miller. By the time she was in high school was designing clothes. In college she was sewing weddings, Greek paraphenalia and home decorations. Today she privately teaches sewing and sews for clients with special needs.
